Dr. Nuha El Sayed is the Founder and Chief Executive of Supercharged Scientific, a global health research, capacity, and decision-support organization advancing diabetes, metabolic, and chronic disease care. A physician-scientist and senior leader in diabetes, metabolic health, and obesity medicine, she brings more than two decades of experience translating complex clinical evidence into practice-changing frameworks across academic medicine, professional societies, and emerging ventures.

Dr. El Sayed holds a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and has led scientific and medical strategy at the intersection of clinical research, guideline development, and health innovation. She previously served as Senior Vice President and Interim Chief Scientific and Medical Officer at the American Diabetes Association, where she led national efforts in clinical guidance, medical affairs, and quality improvement—including stewardship of the ADA Standards of Care, one of the most widely implemented clinical guidelines in chronic disease management.

She founded Supercharged Scientific to close the gap between what evidence shows is possible and what care systems actually deliver. The organization reflects her conviction that durable improvement in chronic disease care requires integrating rigorous research, workforce capacity-building, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled decision support—and that the field has too often pursued these in isolation. Under her leadership, Supercharged Scientific operates across the full evidence-to-practice continuum, partnering with healthcare organizations, academic institutions, professional societies, ministries of health, and industry to advance high-quality, evidence-informed care in resource-limited settings and complex health systems alike.

Dr. El Sayed has built and led high-performing teams across academic medicine, professional societies, and emerging ventures, developing deep expertise in the architecture of scientific programs from the ground up. Her work spans evidence synthesis, AI-enabled clinical tools, and the development of large-scale implementation and research initiatives. A recognized voice in cardiometabolic medicine, she has navigated complex stakeholder negotiations across industry, government, academia, and health systems, drawing on a leadership philosophy grounded in clarity of intention, solution orientation, complexity science, and long-term value creation.

She speaks regularly at national and international forums on diabetes, cardiometabolic disease, evidence-based medicine, metabolic therapeutics and technology, and the future of AI in healthcare.

Dr. Raveendhara R. Bannuru is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific and Analytics Officer of Supercharged Scientific. A physician-scientist and methodologist with expertise spanning evidence synthesis, health economics, and AI-enabled analytics, he brings more than two decades of experience building the evidentiary infrastructure that translates research into guidelines and real-world practice.

Dr. Bannuru holds faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. He previously served as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Quality Improvement Outcomes at the American Diabetes Association, where his portfolio spanned guideline development, medical affairs, quality improvement, and health policy. As Chief Methodologist for the Professional Practice Committee, he directed the methodological architecture underlying more than 100 guideline documents — including the Standards of Care in Diabetes and the Standards of Care in Overweight and Obesity — while leading national quality improvement initiatives, contributing to federal policy briefings on the economic costs of diabetes, obesity and serving on commissions addressing diabetes technology, GLP-1 access, and care across diverse patient populations and settings. Prior to the ADA, he founded and directed the Center for Treatment Comparison and Integrative Analysis at Tufts Medical Center, contributing to major guidelines across rheumatology, infectious disease, and musculoskeletal medicine. He helped several companies navigate the FDA and EMA approval processes.

At Supercharged Scientific, Dr. Bannuru leads the organization’s most methodologically demanding work — systematic reviews and network meta-analyses, health economics and outcomes research, real-world evidence studies, and AI-enabled evidence synthesis — and oversees the analytic frameworks that allow the organization to deliver rigorous, defensible evidence at the pace modern decision-making requires.

A recognized methodologist and health economist, Dr. Bannuru is extensively published in leading peer-reviewed journals and holds active leadership roles across major national and international guideline bodies, government research programs, and global health initiatives. He speaks regularly at scientific forums on evidence-based medicine, clinical guidelines, health economics, and the application of AI and analytics in healthcare.

Amira ElSayed is Chief of Staff at Supercharged Scientific, where she leads operational strategy, organizational design, and program execution across the organization’s research, capacity-building, and analytics portfolios. Bringing together expertise in business administration, workforce development, and multicultural program delivery, she is responsible for building the operational infrastructure that allows Supercharged Scientific to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder engagements across diverse global settings.

Ms. ElSayed brings a multidisciplinary background spanning corporate operations, human capital development, and international public health. She began her career in the finance department at the regional head office of Unilever Mashreq before transitioning into human resources as a training and development specialist—work that established her early focus on building people-centered operational systems. She subsequently collaborated with the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, contributing to public health campaigns including a regional initiative addressing tobacco use among university students. She later served as training and development specialist at the Association of Management Advisors (AMA) in Alexandria, where she designed and led workshops, sessions, and structured training tracks that supported hundreds of students and early-career professionals in leadership and business development.

At Supercharged Scientific, Ms. ElSayed translates the organization’s scientific and strategic priorities into operational reality, overseeing program management, partner coordination, internal systems, and the cross-functional execution required for global health work.
